After a warm and breezy day yesterday, we’ll see a nice cooldown starting today that will last into the weekend. Morning temperatures remain mild in the 60s for most of us, but a cold front is currently making its way through the area, and this will do a couple of things in that it will bring in northerly winds and keep temperatures cooler in the upper 70s and low 80s this afternoon. The cold front is also causing a few spotty showers to develop, and this chance for rain will linger this morning but should diminish as the afternoon rolls around. Canadian wildfire smoke will also settle into the region today behind the cold front which will reduce our air quality. Cooler temperatures in the 70s will continue through the rest of this week and into this weekend, but we’ll get a nice reminder that it’s still summer as warmer temperatures in the 80s and 90s return on Sunday which will continue through much of next week. Along with the warmer temperatures, rain chances will be hard to come by as most of the next week looks dry.
