ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WALA) – Officials report the Corry Station gates and the main gate and west gate to Naval Air Station Pensacola are closed following reports of an armed disturbance.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said they received a call about an armed disturbance. All units are actively checking every possible building and station, the ECSO said.

According to the NAS Pensacola, Navy Security Forces as well as local law enforcement are responding to a “potential incident onboard Corry Station.”

Both Corry Station and NAS Pensacola are closed to incoming and outgoing traffic. Officials are advising people on Corry Station and NAS Pensacola to follow directions from the air station’s NSF personnel.

Naval Air Station Pensacola Corry Station is a sub-installation of NAS Pensacola that hosts several of the U.S. Navy’s Information Warfare Corps training commands.
