Amid speculation over the state of the couple’s marriage, Aaron Taylor-Johnson has taken to social media with posts that appear to dispel claims he and wife Sam Taylor-Johnson are no longer together.

Rumours had surfaced that the pair have separated following 12 years of marriage, after Aaron was spotted without his wedding ring.

“Little get away”

This week, however, the Bullet Train actor shared a series of photos of himself alongside film director Sam, including one in which he can clearly be seen wearing his ring. “Little get away,” Aaron wrote in the caption to the images.

When did the Taylor-Johnsons meet?

Aaron, 34, and Sam, 57, first met on the set of the 2009 John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy, which she directed. The movie, which received four BAFTA nominations, starred a then 18-year-old Aaron as the Beatle in his formative years.

Sam gave birth to the couple’s first child, daughter Wylda Rae, the following year, before the couple celebrated the arrival of their second daughter, Romy Hero, in 2012. They tied the knot in June 2012, and 10 years on celebrated a decade of marriage by renewing their vows.

Aaron hits out at “bizarre” age-gap criticism

Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine in March, Aaron discussed the criticism he and Sam have received over their 23-year age difference, explaining that the early start he made to his career has led him to progress through certain stages of life ahead schedule.

“What you gotta realise […] is that what most people were doing in their twenties, I was doing when I was 13,” he said. “You’re doing something too quickly for someone else? I don’t understand that. What speed are you supposed to enjoy life at? It’s bizarre to me.”
