CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Charleston Police say they are on the scene of a deadly crash on the Stono Bridge.
Police said on X just after 3 p.m. that the crash had both directions of the bridge closed.
Police warned drivers about the possibility of “extended delays” on X, and shortly before 4 p.m. were telling drivers at the roadblock that they expected the bridge to remain closed for up to “a couple of hours.”
It is not clear how many people died or were injured in the crash.
